8. AIDA Liceu Opera in Barcelona

What: Josep Mestres Cabanes’s hyperrealistic decoration is back. They were made in 1945, and they show the majestic of the scenographic Catalan school.
The background of ancient Egypt is the excuse to talk about the theme with big symphonic-coral scenes, without forgetting the significant areas of the great plot. It’s the debut of the North American Soprano, Angela Meade, at the theatre Liceu.
