1. Open cinema
Despite the Montjuïc castle sessions have been canceled due to restrictions, you can still enjoy the premieres and the best independent cinema at the beach. The “cinema a la fresca” sessions begin their nonstop film series from July 30 to August 23 of this year. Spread over different Catalan beaches, the Mar Bella, Cosmocaixa or Bogatell complex host this cultural proposal for our entertainment with our feet in the sand. Prevented … and action!
2. Discover Born
A new edition of this cultural commitment comes to us at the Born center of culture and memory. The proposal is simple, throughout the week they offer us different route options through the alleys and corners of this Barcelona neighborhood. On Tuesdays go to the Born Market and participate. The same day, in addition you can enjoy the route “Visita al humor con ojos de gato” offered by “The Forge of a new world”. On Wednesday, surprise yourself with “Dance and music in Barcelona”. If you want to know more about this historic neighborhood, on Thursday there is also a route called “The city of Born in 7 stories”, dare to discover some of the secrets of Barcelona. And to conclude, on Fridays, let yourself go back in time on the route “Rec, Ribera and Born, a route about 1700”.
3. Walks over the city
The MUHBA resumes this cycle of routes about discover Barcelona. Discover the history behind each street, each building and each neighborhood in the city. During this month there are different routes that you can do. Have a walk and learn about the history behind Barcelona. Throughout the year the museum offers different routes, this month you can learn how the Gothic quarter was built or listen and read the testimonies of the residents who built the refuge under the Montjuïc castle. If you want to know the background of the city and learn about its history, you cannot miss these routes.
4. Dinner below the stars
From the Fabra observatory near Tibidabo, we can enjoy a dinner below the starlight. For 72 euros they will offer us an astronomical menu in addition to being able to see from the telescope the constellations that surround the planet. Let yourself be amazed by a starry night and conquer the galaxy a few steps from home.
5. Terraces with culture
During August the terraces of Barcelona offer a wide range of cultural events, from concerts to DJ sessions. Have a drink accompanied by the best soundtracks this summer. Do not let any of these events escape you and enjoy them with a drink in hand.

6. Musical Parks
Enjoy the soundtrack of your favourite parks. This August the cycle of music continues in the park where artists from all musical genres come together so that the culture does not fade. Entertainment with the best atmosphere during your walk or your picnic in Barcelona’s parks.
7. The opening of Casa Amatller
After a hiatus month and closure due to the health crisis, Casa Amatller reopens doors to the the public.public. For half the usual cost, 12 euros, you can enter and observe the structure of a house inspired by the Dutch houses of the 17th century. Enjoy this summer the house designed by the famous architect Puig i Cadafaclh. The price includes a guided tour through the building as well as a box of the already famous Amatller chocolate leaves. Don’t miss out on this golden opportunity!
8. Living Terrace
Located on the roof of the Barcelona natural science museum, right at the entrance to the Forum space. This terrace is distinguished for being a terrace full of colour and vegetation. The initiative terrat viu consists of a space of 7200 square meters in which we will only find rain-fed vegetation. Vegetables that do not need much care. Actually, they are separated into parcels by species, this landscape of native plants will not leave you unsatisfied. If you want to breathe fresh air! Do not forget to visit it!
