Hello Sharies! We are already in summer, and even if this is a weird year, we can still enjoy events in August in Madrid.
Due to the current situation, the culture business might be affected and although all the events that we put in this article are nowadays confirmed we recommend you to assure the opening before go.

1. Casa Museo Lope de Vega
Every Wednesday in August we can enjoy the open-air cinema again at the Casa Museo Lope de Vega. This year, the program is dedicated to Benito Pérez Galdós.
WizInk hosts from the 15th of August to the 15th of September the Madriz Summer Fest. A new musical proposal, which will count with more than 30 concerts, and a maximum capacity of 2000 persons.
3. La Fura dels Baus – NN (Nueva Normalidad)
The theatre company La Fura dels Baus presents its new macro show from the 4th to the 6th of August at IFEMA. The piece is a tribute to the ones who dedicate their lives to protect the health. And, the goal is to collect money for the research against COVID19.
4. THINK – Tribute to Aretha Franklin
The musical dedicates to the soul queen, Aretha Franklin, arrives in Madrid on the 16th of August. The event is part of the festival AbreMadrid and will make us sing and dance the best songs of this great artist.
5. Michael Legend
From the 18th to the 20th of August, you can assist the best musical tribute to the King of Pop: Michael Jackson. The event is part of AbreMadrid and is for all kind of audience.
There will be the best of Michael’s songs, dancers, choristers and invited artists.
6. Fescinal 2020
The best open-air move festival is back. Fescinal 2020 will present all the best movies of the year in digital format.
From the 31st of July to the 13th of September, enjoy a night under the stars at the Bombilla park.
7. Veranos de la Villa 2020
From the 29th of Jul to the 30th of August the event of the summer in Madrid is back: Veranos de la Villa. The festival offers music, dance, theatre, circus and many more. The location will be the Centro Cultural Conde Duque.
8. Llévame hasta el cielo ( Bring me to the Heaven)
Until the end of August, we can enjoy the amazing theatrical comedy:
“Llévame hasta el cielo” by the company Lele Production. The show is based on the novel by Nacho A. LLorente: two persons got tucked in the elevator for several hours. Here they discover a parallel universe, which will change their lives forever…
